The Motorola Razr Fold has officially entered the Indonesian market, bringing a lineup of features designed to take on premium foldable phones from rival brands.
Motorola is leaning on a highly rated camera system, a 6,000 mAh battery, an exceptionally bright display, flagship-level performance, and multitasking features optimized specifically for foldable screens.
Zulfahmi, Motorola Indonesia’s Product Portfolio Head, said every product the company brings to Indonesia goes through careful consideration. “We’re very confident launching the Motorola Razr Fold. One of the reasons is the quality of its camera,” he said during the launch event in Jakarta on Wednesday (July 15, 2026).
Here are the seven standout features Motorola is using as its main weapons against the competition.
1. A Foldable Camera System With a DXOMARK Score of 164
The Razr Fold’s biggest strength lies in its camera system. Motorola claims the device ranks first in the foldable and flip smartphone category based on DXOMARK testing, scoring 164 points.
The camera system consists of three 50MP sensors. The main camera uses a Sony LYTIA 828 sensor, while the periscope telephoto camera uses a Sony LYTIA 600 sensor. The device is also equipped with a 50MP ultrawide camera.
“We call it a flagship foldable camera system,” Zulfahmi said, adding that Motorola doesn’t want consumers to have to sacrifice camera quality just because they chose a foldable phone.
2. 8K Video Recording With Dolby Vision
The Razr Fold supports video recording up to 8K resolution using its main camera, while all of its camera sensors can record up to 4K. The device also supports 4K slow-motion recording at 120fps.
A feature rarely found on flagship phones is Dolby Vision support, available on both the main and periscope cameras. Motorola claims the combination of Dolby Vision and the Sony LYTIA 828 sensor delivers a dynamic range up to six times wider than typical camera systems.
Zoom capabilities include up to 6x lossless zoom and up to 100x hybrid zoom, with both OIS and autofocus support included.
3. A Massive 6,000 mAh Battery
The Motorola Razr Fold is equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery, a notably larger capacity than most premium foldable phones, which typically sit around 4,800–5,000 mAh.
“When we equip the device with a 6,000 mAh battery, that capacity continues to benefit users throughout the device’s entire lifespan,” Zulfahmi explained.
The battery supports 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Motorola noted that battery capacity is one component that’s genuinely hard to compensate for through software features, which is why the company prioritized a larger battery over additional storage capacity.
4. A 165Hz Cover Display, Smoother Than the Competition
The Razr Fold features a 6.6-inch pOLED cover display with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz — higher than several rival foldables, which typically max out at 120Hz.
This higher refresh rate makes animations, menu transitions, social media scrolling, and gaming feel noticeably smoother. The cover display also has a resolution of 2,520 x 1,080 pixels, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits.
Motorola has also included Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and a 10-bit panel. The cover display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 for improved scratch and impact resistance.
Once unfolded, users get a 2K LTPO main display measuring 8.1 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 2,484 x 2,232 pixels, and peak brightness of up to 6,200 nits.
“The combination of a 165Hz cover display and a 6,200-nit main display is one of the Razr Fold’s key weapons for competing in the premium foldable segment,” Zulfahmi claimed.
5. Titanium Hinge and Water Resistance

The hinge is often a major concern for consumers considering a foldable phone. The Razr Fold uses a titanium-reinforced hinge, built to improve durability during everyday use.
The Razr Fold also offers water resistance, including protection against water pressure and submersion.
Motorola includes a protective case in the retail box, featuring raised edges designed to protect the screen and camera module when the device is placed on a flat surface.
6. Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Performance
On the performance side, the Motorola Razr Fold is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.
Motorola claims the device achieves an AnTuTu score of around 3.2 million points. To keep temperatures under control, the phone includes a vapor chamber measuring approximately 6,200 square millimeters.
On-device AI processing is also supported, with Moto AI integrated with Gemini to help users carry out a range of AI-powered functions.
7. Multitasking and Laptop Mode
The Razr Fold’s large display allows users to run two apps side by side through its side-by-side view feature. Users can also open apps in free-floating windows, resizing and repositioning them as needed.
Split-screen mode can be activated with a three-finger gesture, and the screen can be divided either horizontally or vertically. The Razr Fold also features a laptop mode: when the device is partially folded and placed on a table, the top portion of the screen can display video or documents, while the bottom portion transforms into a control panel, keyboard, or trackpad.
The device automatically detects the fold angle and adjusts its display accordingly. Motorola has also included Sound by Bose and Dolby Atmos to enhance audio quality for watching movies, listening to music, or gaming.
Motorola Razr Fold Price in Indonesia
The Motorola Razr Fold is sold in Indonesia for around Rp 25.5 million. It’s available in two color options, including Pantone Deli White with a silk-inspired finish.
During the promotional period from July 13–20, 2026, buyers can enjoy bonuses worth up to Rp 10.7 million, including a Moto Watch, Moto Buds, an XL data package of up to 120GB, an Rp 800,000 Mister Aladin hotel voucher, premium entertainment access, digital service subscriptions, and screen crack protection.
“With a 6,000 mAh battery, a DXOMARK-recognized camera sensor, and a high-brightness display, we believe the Motorola Razr Fold holds a very competitive position,” Zulfahmi concluded.
